Japan Tatoo Idea...

I have been thinking... And some time in the near future I would like to get the 4 band member's faces tatood on my upper back with their names. Does anyone else have a Japan related tatoo? Am I crazy? It's something I would really love to have!

i know lots of people that have duran related tattoes. I'd like to get a couple of tattoes but none of them are japan related.

I want the Leo symbol above my ankle and maybe a lion on the other one. I wear my love of music on my sleeve enough not to have to permanently ink it on my body.

I think tattoos are great. Make sure you go to someone really good who can do excellent shading and is really good at people. Maybe you should try to go on Miami Ink and get Cat to do your tattoo. She is awesome and would make sure the guys all looked perfect, plus you could be on TV talking about your love for Japan/David Sylvian. Who knows what that would lead to? Go for it!

Darkest Dreamer- I like your idea!! I have been thinking, and if David Sylvian or Mick Karn or the other band member were to just so find out I had their faces as Japan tatood to my back, they would probably be offended. But the reason I would do that is because I love all 4 of the members equally and in their own way. I don't like any member more than the others (Though it seems like I like David Sylvian more... I love them all!) And the that's the reason I would get Japan is because it was a time when they were all together. Plus I love the whole 80's thing and think that the music was excellent... Now they couldn't be offended by that, eh?

I think it is a great idea. Funny you should ask because over vacation I was thinking the same idea of a tattoo or a design of one and I haven't been online all week!!!!!

I love tattoos. I would love to have someone some time but I don't think it would be just Japan related.
I would love to have a lotus flower on my ankle , or some nice kanji on my back.

I'm thinking i'd like the "OM" symbol on my shoulder or below my neck in the back. We have some AMAZING tattoo artists in my area. I'm actually going to be doing some photos of tattoos....

Oh my god, My husband and I were going to get OM symbol tattoos also! It's because we went to the OM festival together when we first started going out. That festival was fun it was way out in the country on a huge property with a forest and a river running through it. A lot of people were walking around naked and taking lots of drugs. There were huge soundstages with live performances and crazy art installations. One area was all done in neon and people were having kind of like a rave and wearing neon and crap like that. It looked pretty neat but I am not a huge fan of jungle house music. There was a big bonfire at night and this one dude was naked and kept waving his wanger around. That was pretty funny. We were all just glad he didn't fall in the fire pit.

Never really thought of getting a tattoo - but if there's one bunch of names I know I would never tire of it's 'Sylvian, Karn, Barbieri, and Jansen'...

Where to have it done though.....um, probably bottom of my back as it would never wrinkle and look crap...ho ho ho!

I like the idea, Kera! I'm personally not a tattoo person, but I think the Japan rising sun would make a good tattoo, as well.
