DAVID SYLVIAN - KIDNEY STONES

David was unwell during his last tour, was this associated with him
having kidney stones? A condition which is not nice, especially when
you pass one naturally. It's like passing a baby through the eye of a
needle! For the men who have had them will know it's probably the
nearest we will get to knnow what it is like for a woman having a baby.

I don't know if David has them or not, I've never heard anything one way or another. If so, my sympathies are with him. I've had them and so far I've had three surgeries and a fourth is on the way. They are most unpleasant.

Thank you Nat! :-D I've missed you guys too, but haven't felt too good recently. Anyhow, the end is in sight hopefully! BTW as a matter of interest re kidney stones and David, as Fire Rose has pointed out they DO re-occur apparently every 7 years or so. So if David had them in 1980, as Billster said, then he's probably had them several times since then too - poor chap. :(

There was some talk about a picture David posted on volume 6 of his photographs on his site, called Self-Portrait. That "cancer spot" was quite a thump, and many knees started to get wobbly. But all ended there.
On volume 7, though, you can see two very very sad pictures, Gone and Loved One, obviously taken in a hospital.
So, David has certainly been in a hospital, but the reason is not known. Was he there for his own health, or was he just visiting?
Anyway, the pictures were posted before the World Is Everything tour, circa autumn/winter 2006.
