I was wondering when someone would mention the eyebrow....I still have shivers when he does the eyebrow thing....I thought I was the only one who noticed that.... :D

I am always quite observant of little things like that---it is what endears them to me. 8)

Met David, Steve and Tagaki after his Bristol gig a few years ago. There was a crowd of us waiting after the show and it must have been about 40 minutes before he left the venue and I just pounced before anyone else got near him. Don't know what came over me, I was like a mad man and thrust my hand towards his. I SHOOK HIS HAND...HE TOUCHED ME!!!!

I have never been the same since.

Yes, I've met them all.

Met David on two occasions, as detailed in another thread on this forum...

I first met Mick, Steve, and Richard at their London gig back in '97.

Met Steve again on two occasions with David...

I also met Richard last year whilst assisting Markus Reuter at his Bush Hall, London gig with both Tim Bowness and Richard. We (Richard and I) exchanged a few e-mails afterwards, as I recorded his set for him from the desk.

All v-nice folks :)

Don't suppose you've got a copy of it? ;-)

It's got to be a lot better than the Audience recording I did.

I met Sylvian after his Washington DC Slowfire concert in 95 I guess it was. We waited out back and he came walking out w Richard Chadwick. I was surprised me and my friends were the only people waiting (although it was a pretty rough part of town!). He was very nice, we shook hands and he signed my program, frankly I was so nervous I'm not really sure what I said other than to complement him on the show and his music in general. I also made a comment to him about really enjoying the Gone to Earth work he did with Bill Nelson and he commented that Richard would be very happy to hear that as he had recently taken over Bill's management. A wonderous evening...the best show I have ever seen bar none.

Back in 1988 my wife to be and her two friends were hanging out back of Massey Hall waiting for the entourage. As Sylvian walked by one of the girls started screaming and crying out "David, I love you so much!". Sylvian gave the other guys the eyebrow and a wry smile and they all began to laugh. As Sylvian et al sat in the mini-van they began to wave at the now hysterical girl which made her nearly explode. My wife says it was the funniest thing she has ever seen. She also claims she touched Steve Jansen's coat. So what?

You're right Ob8, I removed anything pertaining to that last night.

It was completely off topic. New members sign up here all of the time. If I were lurking on here thinking of joining, I would be completely turned off to look in the 'Have you ever met DS' thread and read smut for the last dozen posts.

Hmmm slightly disappointing Silvermoon. We are all adults here and while we sometimes enjoy the odd innuendo I think most of us are experienced enough to see it as just that. It's just a bit of "banter" as they call it in Scotland. I'm sure the majority of new visitors to this site wouldn't think twice about some of the risque posts. I think for the best part that this is a great site but you have to remember that light hearted "banter" is what makes it such a fun place to be.

If anyone is offended by "tea-bagging" then you really need to get out a bit more.

Tea bags and smut?

Sounds like an average afternoon at a Women's Institute.

Has DS ever done the post-gig CD-signing thing so favoured by artists in smaller venues? I ask as I saw the late lamented EST at Birmingham Symphony Hall and they were out like a shot after the gig to sign CDs and say 'hello'.

I saw DS on the 2007 tour at the same venue and he was, so far as I'm aware, nowhere to be seen afterwards.

Is mingling with punters something he does?
