AUSTRALIAN BUYING TICKETS FROM OVERSEAS - TIPS!!

Postby PicassoLover on Sun Jun 24, 2007 11:53 pm

:-D I need some tips on going about buying tickets for concerts overseas - you see I am in Australia and want to go to the concert in Hong Kong. I have emailed the venue and am awaiting on ticketing info from them. Once I have done that and have found out where to buy, what is the guarantee, if buying them online, that you will actually get them in the post on time etc etc. I have waited for Sylvian to come this close to Australia for about 20 years and I am not going to miss out this time. There may be a whole Australian contingent coming for this concert.....Any other Australians out there doing the same?

Hi there,
you may want to talk to the Ozboyz over at the DSTour group on Yahoo...They are also planning to head to Japan...

All the best,
Chris

Also, check to see if the venue or ticketing company offers a feature that allows you to receive tickets via email that can be printed out on your computer printer. I do this with Ticketmaster and it has always worked well, plus it is a way cheaper service---they like it too because it saves them sending the tickets through post, and saves you money on the service and the worry!!

Good luck with everything........

AUSTRALIAN BUYING TICKETS FROM OVERSEAS - TIPS!!

Postby PicassoLover on Tue Jun 26, 2007 1:42 am

:) Thanks for those tips. I have joined the Yahoo group and will see what comes of that. I have noticed a few of the other Aussies are thinking the same thing. Mind you they are thinking of going to the Japanese concerts, which is quite expensive. Honkers to fly to return is much cheaper. I did email the HITEC in Hong Kong and they replied wtih this

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately at this moment, the organizer hasn't confirmed the venue therefore no hotline/contact number yet.

You can see update information from our web site www.hitec.com.hk.

So I am onto it. Thanks Again

Hi there,
glad to see your message on DSTour (I'm also the moderator there), hopefully you can at least chat with the Ozboyz, they're great lads!
Maybe you can convince them to go to Honkers instead of Japan!

All the best,
Chris

Can you put the link up again for DSTour. I can't find the original post that you put it on. Thanks :-)
