Sylvian music in public places!

Postby Burnsjed on Sat Oct 13, 2007 9:01 am

I was in a restaurant/coffee bar for lunch on Friday, and they were playing "The Day The Earth Stole Heaven"!

Anyone else had the pleasure of hearing DS in bars etc?

I once heard The Ink in the Well in this pub in Bewdley (which is near Birmingham) I couldn't stop smiling. It was so unexpected...
Never heard them anywhere else...

The girl i asked to play it did so sort of reluctantly... then she was like "wow this is really great. I'm going to borrow it and burn myself a copy!" It was Brilliant Trees :-)

I am quite happy about the fact that a good friend of mine and her boyfriend now is refering to sylvian as darling david. they fell in love with the nine horses album about a month ago. had they bothered to listen to the tracks I gave them earlier this year they could have been at the concert in stockholm.....well, I shall soon be introducing them to more hardcore sylvian stuff and see what happens.

A few years ago, I was in a gay pub in Glasgow (Revolver - had a fantastic juke box) and, all of a suddent, heard Japan's 'Don't Rain On My Parade' playing. Fantastic!
