looks like David recently replaced Atom & Cell with Jean the Birdman in the setlist of the tour... how's about a listen to it?

He does like this song doesn't he.
Believe he has played it on every tour since he wrote it.

Raise my hands up to heaven, But only you could know

Thanks very much! I would have loved him to have played this in Glasgow.

Thanks for sharing. :) This is one of the songs I wished he would perform before knowing the setlist.

Of course he likes this song and yes, since writing the tune Sylvian has performed it on every single tour he has undertaken. It is a fairly malleable enough piece to fit in with whatever way he opts to present himself and his band in whatever capacity is necessary.
And thankfully the song adds a much needed jolt of raucousness to the relatively mild setlist. Is it my imagination or does Sylvian slightly crack up with enjoyment while coming in with the "He wears a crucifix..." line after the shortened breakdown section and that derivatively cheesy build up? Am I hearing that correctly? It sounds to me as though the entire band is finally having some necessary fun with this one, and reacting off of each other's playing in a way any BAND should.
I'll always say - a little groovin' soul goes a long way. Hopefully they'll keep it in. In my opinion, the setlist just didn't seem complete without the inclusion of this song.

Though I do love listening to the set list on this tour, there isn't an awful lot of change in tempo, and though I haven't had a chance nor opportunity to listen to it, I am sure it does add something extra.
There can't be many, if any, other tracks that DS has performed on every tour.

Is the whole concert available somewhere, or do we just have this one track?

**a low-fi recording (made with a phone) exists and will surface soon - I'm discussing with the taper some treatments on sound ... do not expect the quality of Berlin or Amsterdam or Brussels or Reggio

I'm remastering an Offenbach recording at the moment and also Manchester will be remastered (lot of reverb here) - they are medium quality but enjoyable

ok cool.
I am surprised at the lack of recordings compared to the AFITF Tour, where it appeared nearly every night was recorded.
