Where can Sylvian go from here?

Talk about anything David Sylvian related.

Where can Sylvian go from here?

As he's stated, this tour represents, possibly, the last time anyone will hear his older material played live. Given the precarious nature of our favorite musician, what do you think he'll do next? Could he possibly be bored of Nine Horses? Or do you think he's got something left to say.

Speculation is difficult, of course, but what do you think he might do next?

I think he will keep spoiling us with great music!
and from another thread:
I would love him to do a long work - 90 minutes+ that incorporates past things in a new vein, present things and new stuff, AS A SOUNDTRACK TO A DVD IN THE STYLE OF HIS RECENT PHOTOGRAPHS. I got this idea from watching the Sigur Ros dvd 'Heima'.
So basically, I want to see him do a film and the music for it...

You know Godsinthesilence, I think our minds think the same way regarding the Sylvian one.

But as also mentioned earlier, he will do whatever he pleases, and I guess that is one, of many things, that fascinate me.

I look forward to the new CD, roll on 2008!!

I love the white shoes. It's like the only thing which remindes me his 70's & 80's period with Japan. Except of the 'European Son' jacket he got...
The man knew these shoes will attract people's attention. He wanted that and he got that. Well, as you can see he still is.

You are the last person I expected to write that!

You're quite the secret vixen aren't you?

interview Christian Fennesz new CD Sylvian

Postby Waves on Thu Dec 13, 2007 7:11 pm

On 01-12-2007 Christan Fennesz was interviewed on the following Belgian site (sorry, only for dutch readers):

http://www.urbanmag.be/artikel/1232/het ... an-fennesz

My best translation is as follows:

'"I am recording again for David Sylvian in London. His new album will be really incredible. It is a real masterpiece.
Sylvian wants to get rid of his straight-forward image of singer-songwriter for good. He was not so happy with his last tour. His new work is much better. He is working with radical, experimental jazz musicians like Evan Parker, Burkhard Stangl and Keith Rowe ((must be 'Lowe' of course)).
It really will be a very good CD."

Can't wait to hear any of it...
