Pearl + Umbra

Just a funny story i wanted to share with you.
Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins told me that in 1998 when Russel Mills was recording his second Undark album Pearl + Umbra, David was invited to the September Sounds Studio in Twickenham to record some whispering vocals.
The record label Bella Union was located in the same house as September Sounds, and Robin was preparing some boxes with records that was supposed to be delivered ungently. The door bell rings and in comes a guy in a vest wearing glasses, Robin thinks it's the messenger and hands over the boxes, and tells him to hurry up.
What Robin very soon in to realize is that the man in glasses actually is David Sylvian...
