More info An informal gathering for Mick Karn and Japan fans to celebrate Mick's life, share stories and experiences, and enjoy some of his and the group's music.

Free entry, please RSVP so we can let the bar know how many will be coming down.

We have exclusive use of the upstairs bar but will also be downstairs if there is a good turnout on the night.

Pre-event meet up 3pm at The Cock Tavern, 27 Great Portland St, London EC1A 9LH - one of the pubs near Air Studios that Japan may have visited. Very likely we will also visit two other pubs in the area - please PM me on the day if you want to find where we are at a particular time, or just be at The Retro Bar for 6pm or later.

Just want to confirm something, we will be UPSTAIRS at the Retro Bar on Saturday - you'll know you're in the right place if you hear Japan/MK or can see the Japan photo opposite the bar.

Is there an upstairs part in the Retro Bar? Is this the same one we are talking about, LOL! (the one I was in last summer was near Charring Cross)

Yes that's it, the upstairs bar has a large framed print of Japan. One of the staff worked on the photo session (Polaroids LP cover)
