Quite a good interview on The Quietus website with some
different takes on questions regarding Manafon

I might be alone in thinking this isn't a good idea...

He's even thinking of touring Manafon.

...Having recently watched the semi-official When Poets Dreamed of Angels DVD, I would have to say that Blemish didn't lend itself well at all to a live performance. Yes, it's Big Dave and yes he's great, but in the cold light of day I would have to say that it just wasn't a great show at all.

And if I was being totally honest, although much better (and I did see this tour myself twice), The World Is Everything tour was a tad stilted too. Given that his hair-style and jumper look identical, they both seem like more or less the same show a few years apart (despite the jettisoning of Blemish for the latter).

Laptops are great, don't get me wrong. But for live music, give me real performances any day. The great quality Eindhoven '07 DVD isn't worth (any) 5 minutes of an audio Slowfire recording imho (and that's a tour I didn't see).
