Would you know by any chance if Laurel and Hardy's "The Murder Case" is to be found on dvd? My all time fave and I crave it.

Radiohead, Underworld, Zappa, Cocteau Twins (so, so much CT stuff) and loads of other artists.

I also collect 3" CD singles; I don't just buy them indiscriminately...I have to like them. A few DS & Japan items, a couple by the Sex Pistols, Tears For Fears (including the very delicate cardboard sun-sleeved "Woman In Chains" and the weird, yellow plastic sunflower-cased "Seeds Of Love" and a few others), The The and lots more I can't bring to mind.

I have a lot of books on the Beatles, and a couple of other bits and bobs, as Apple still makes Beatles stuff.
If I could, I would probably collect everything to do with every band, artist and designer I liked, but thankfully I can't do that.

I have stuff of The Beatles, which I collected since I was 14 to my 17 years, then I moved into Duran duran - which I collect until today - and I also had a period for A-ha. I have the whole A-ha discography and some bootlegs.

And I just started Japan this year...but I live in Brazil...so, HAAAARD to find around here.

Sometimes I wish I lived in UK... =/

Like many others here I've got just about everything by Duran Duran. Gary Numan was great to collect because of all the coloured vinyls and picture discs and I used to get all the Ultravox singles on clear vinyl. I also collected Tears For Fears singles in the 80's, don't listen to them very often now but it's nice to have Pale Shelter and Mother's Talk on green vinyl and the double pack 7" issue of Everybody Wants To Rule The World. Unfortunately I don't have enough money now to spend on rare collectors items. There are a lot of nice reissues coming out on cd and dvd and I only buy that now. Got to save some money for those new Duran Duran and Arcadia cd+dvd remasters!! ;-)

I have always been a big Roxy Music fan right from the first album right through to avalon -saw them on the 2001 reunion tour. I suppose its easy to say well when i heard japan i must have liked them because everybody says Sylvian sounds like Bryan Ferry BUT to me thats a huge injustice to Sylvian and the other members of Japan. When i heard Quiet Life it was like nothing else i had heard - songs like Alien, The other side of live, halloween still sound as fresh today as then and more importantly i cant see any parallels with Quiet Life and say Flesh and Blood or Avalon.

Im also a big fan of Bill Nelson and Be Bop Deluxe, King Crimson, early Ultravox through to Genesis and right through to metal/rock bands like Wishbone Ash, Dio, Lee Aaron, Metallica.

All things related to Manchester's Factory Records - music, videos, books, etc. I've always been a huge fan of Joy Division/New Order, and to a lesser extent, Happy Mondays, A Certain Ratio, Section 25, and The Durutti Column. When "24 Hour Party People" came out in 2002, I became obsessed with the label and started collecting everything I could find. Factory is a fascinating and amazing part of music history.

For me it started with David Bowie in the late seventies but kinda lost interest after Let's Dance.
But I still but stuff from the seventies from time to time.

A main part of my collection is New Wave, loved all the different kinds of music that came in the end of the 70's and early 80's.
And my biggest collection is Joy Division / New Order from that period.

Also bought a lot of house music at the end of the eighties.

Still buy vinyl today although now my interest lay mainly in Dark Ambient.

Porcupine Tree and any Steven Wilson side projects.Simply because you can never predict musicly what Wilson will do next.Plus the packaging of most of items is superb as well. But firstly love the music and love the connection to Japan.
