I would say... absolutely!
I have the Oil On Canvas remastered version - as well as Brilliant Trees, Alchemy, Gone to Earth and Secrets of The Beehive. In all cases I feel that the remasters are vastly superior to the original releases. In general they have more overall volume and the low end is beefier. They match up much better with the current releases such as Nine Horses. I first noticed the difference when I put tracks from Everything and Nothing in my iPod's playlists up against the older stuff. For example, I put Ride in with the original Secrets tracks (since Ride was from those sessions) and the difference was very apparent. I wanted everything to sound like Ride! It was then that I went back and got as many of the remasters as I could at my local Tower Records.
Next I'm picking up the remastered versions of Gentlemen Take Polaroids and Tin Drum (Tower didn't have them in stock). I'm not sure if there is a remastered version of Rain Tree Crow... anyone know about this?
