Various shows stick in my mind, although the details are usually shard with foggy bookends...

Gang of 4 - tour after first LP 'Entertainment', very intense and politically edgy.

Ultravox - supporting 'Vienna', a real European music (or so I thought back then)

Gary Numan - the tour after 'Cars' was all over the radio. It was his b/day and invited the audience to the hotel. Didn't mingle long there but I did get to ask him about his flying and his new hair transplant (the latter of which caused him to stalk away)...

Minor Threat, Killing Joke, Steel Pulse - so much energy and fun!

X, Echo and the Bunnymen, Black Flag - early 80s in a small Houston club

David Bowie - 1st rock concert for me (The Low tour captured on 'Stages' LP)

Philip Glass (1976) - 1st concert really, in a private school auditorium. Amazing, had to beg my father to stay during intermission (I was 14 yrs old).

King Crimson around 1981. Fripp was G-O-D to me then...

Virgin Prunes, KUKL (Bjork's 1st band), Nick Cave - London 1984... wow!

Iggy Pop w/ Janes Addiction (some crummy rock-disco, late 80s) - had VIP area pass, bumped into umm... groupie on her knees "adoring" the lead guitarist!

All in all, some great evenings!

I actually had a pass to an after concert Bjork party when she played at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Bought a ticket from a tout on the day, and he gave me the pass, was thinking yeah right.
Saw some people making their way through this side door, and thought I would give it a go, and got in! Must have been for her record label or something, everyone seemed to know one another, apart from me!
Still had a few free drinks and saw Bjork face to face!

Trying to think of the name of the Numan tour after Cars, would have been the Pleasure Principle album, was it the Touring Principle or something?

Yeah, Burnsjed, I do think that is correct... The Touring Principle. It was the Pleasure Principle album. My friends were more familiar w/ the early Tubeway Army stuff, so they liked these songs, I remember.

I've seen Sting about 15 times now - he's always had very talented musicians on stage. I have Police tickets and I will definitely report about the gig on here. Can't wait.
A couple of my favourite concerts are...
INXS 'X' tour, Wembley Stadium 1991. A really powerful performance from Michael that day. Surely one of the greatest rock front men ever.
Depeche Mode 'Touring the Angel' tour, March 2006, Manchester. Seen the Mode 14 times and this was the best, these guys just get better and better. What a show.
Deftones, Manchester, 2007. Loud and crazy! It was a few months ago now and my ears are still ringing.
Keane, Manchester, 2007. Wasn't expecting much from this concert although I do like the albums, but it was a fantastic gig - I was genuinely blown away. Very powerful songs really well delivered.

There are many others, but I struggle to remember some of the older ones.

I'm really jealous some of you have seen Gary Numan! That farewell gig must have been special.
Guided by hands that spread life before my very eyes.

Numan also did a retro tour quite recently, believe it was the Telekon album tour called the Teletour, I am quite sue that would have been amazing, if I were not in the States would have gone to that.
He is also touring this year, details are on his official website http://www.numan.co.uk/
