I'm SilverMoon's "IT guy" and she wanted me to explain the new updates to the site.
What has happened is that we have moved to a bigger, faster and more secure server. (For the techies out there - we now have 16 times the RAM, 8 times the hard disk space and 8 times the CPU power.)
In the process we have updated the forum software to the newest version. This new version does not support the outdated "Cobalt" black/blue visual style used in the old forum. Because of this SilverMoon has moved into a new look and will be tweaking the banners at the top as well as many other goodies and gadgets over the next several days.
The Gallery has been updated as well with the most noticeable addition being "lightbox" effects on the images. Thumbnails and main images will now come up in a lightbox when clicked - and clicking on the left or right side of the image will move forwards or backwards in a given gallery.
Thumbnails showing the latest image are now displayed directly in the list of galleries, and there is also a row of random images at the bottom of the main gallery page which change each time you navigate into the gallery.
Another new gallery feature is an enhanced comment section which shows all comments in the standard forum style with the comment poster's avatar, rank, signature, etc. along with a posting box to immediately enter your comment.
Also, you may now upload up to ten images at a time.
Lets see, what else... oh yeah, there are now shortcut tabs for items such as YouTube videos, Flash files, and more when you make a post.
Please take some time and check out the new features. All of your pics, posts, signatures and other data should be intact. If you posted anytime over the past 24 hours or so your posts may have been lost in the shuffle. If so please go ahead and re-post... we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I'll now turn things back over to SilverMoon!
