I think i'd have to go for 1979. Those pictures are the ones i first saw of the whole band and what really drew me into them. I love his hair around that era and his clothes are fantastic...but then, i always love his hair and his clothes are always fantastic

mmm..the GTP cover has always been one of my favourite photos of him...all that make up
the one i remember seeing when i was first introduced to them was the one i posted above, the 1978 one and then i saw the early videos and that was it

I know I definitely had a minor heart attack first time I saw the GTP cover. So did my mom, but for a completely different reason.

Well, the very first picture I ever saw of David has to be that one he posed for in Playgirl (or Playboy... *hides*) back in 1980...

My favourite look is 79/80, after he'd cut his hair and gone more 'New Romantic' (for want of a better phrase)...which would be summed up by the following...(hey, an excuse for another pic)

I'm with Sylvian girl , I love all the looks but that 1979 look is what hooked me when I first saw them at the video for 'I second that emotion'... I love the 'Quiet Life' look , though I should say that I just love him with that long blonde hair from the very beggining too and in his great make up in GTP's cover [Even , sometimes I wear a very similar dark blue eye shadow for going out cause it's so cool!!! ]
