I'm getting to feel guilty about not having introduced myself for such a long time.
I'm a Japanese woman, a mother of two girls (one is seven the other is almost five).
Listening to music and thinking about David through Japansylvian.com are big opportunities to escape from my real life.
My obsession re-started about two years ago after meeting a person who used to be a Japan fan. Since then I've read interviews with David, listened to the CDs and watched YouTube as much as possible. Now I've learned what has happened to David between Secrets of the Beehive and Snow Borne Sorrow.
When I first became a Japan fan I was seventeen year old. One of my friend showed me some photos of David in some magazine. Everything started at that point!
The first albm I bought was Quiet Life. I used to listen to the record every day after school.(That helped my English study a lot.) Now I realize what a groomy kid I used to be.
I went to see a Japan gig in '81. That was great, I remember.
I bet the second time this fire in my heart is far more bigger than the first time. "you are sick" says my husband.
Music Life and Rock show used to be my favorite magazines. I didn't expect to hear the names of them on this English site after a quater of a century!
Unfortunately I threw all these magazines away long time ago except (off course) for the special editions featuring Japan.
Have you got Money For All yet? I'm looking forward to hearing what comments you guys make!
---And Kera, I recently joined a Japanese social network service called "mixi" to find Japan & David fans, and I've found a few people, who became friends of mine.
You can imagine that there are so many Japan & David fans on The Other Side Of the world from the US.
So, I would like you to permit me to introduce Japansylvian.com to them if it is OK. If not, I will keep my finger from cricking enter.
Thank you for reading about myself.
Naoko,
