What a great song that is...gah I was in obsessive love with it for aaages when I first heard it. I kept it on repeat for about an hour or so...but then I am a weird bird.

I am listening to "Circus" by Andy Summers. I like Mr Summers, he is of course the guitarist in the Police and he makes some delicious and jazzy stuff.
Getting his CD may be the best 50p I have ever spent.

Yeah, 'Circus' from 2003's Earth + Sky...yes indeed. In my opinion, it is definitely Mr Summers' finest release. Lively and sophisticated songs with a lot of strong melody lines ... and remarkable performances from a lineup of world class musicians.
At the moment I am giving a second listen to When Loud Weather Buffeted Naoshima and it has another 30 min til it's conclusion. Yet now I am feeling strongly compelled to hear Vinnie Colaiuta's amazing drumming on Above The World and the technical perfection that is sustained throughout the disc.

I love them too! Been a fan since 1982 or so (thanks to my dad for that ;)) Plus the line up was supperb, funny the Japan/Porcupine Tree connections!

And I love Basia as well, that's a great album! I wish she made a new one.

I'm really liking the Panda Bear's cd, knew nothing about it, random purchase at the used cd shop because I liked the name and cover, lol. I then looked it up when I got home, saw it was a side project of one the Animal Collective guys - which still meant nothing to me as I'm not familiar with them. I like this lo-fi groove stuff though, wouldn't mind checking out similar artists. Any recommendations would be very welcome, for any type of music. :-)
