Thank you Krausy, that did help a lot! :D Actually I don't recall Taylor, Rhodes, Le Bon doing much promotional work here in the UK either. Maybe they weren't encouraged to by the record company in the hope that the 'sacred cash cow' aka Duran Duran, would reform asap and make more money for them! Well, if that was their aim they were in for a nasty shock when Andy said "bye-bye" :-)

Then that Deva Premal might be worth exploring! :D

Currently: 'PLACES REMAINED' - Nosound (free download for pre-ordering the new album) Incredibly good! Moody and beautiful!!

I warn you her music is mantra based so if repetition offends you you won't like it. But the music is lovely and really well done

Then my The Flame 7" by Capitol USA isn't real at all ;) Trust me, it was released, but being the one of the last singles of the project (I think) probably didn't chart anywhere. And you are right, Communication was also released as a single in the US, UK, Canada and Holland at least.

Certainly not and if the latter sentence is true then, that's good enough for me. ;) Sounds well worth the try at least.

GORGEOUS!!!! I just love her lyrics! That is so beautiful and if we all believed this way and conducted ourselves to each other this way... the world would be a more wonderful place to live in.

Precisely gods! That is exactly how I feel about those lyrics. They make me feel like I could achieve anything if I believe in it enough, or even if I just say it out loud it will "make it so" (oo-er - went a bit Star Trekkie then, and I don't even watch that sort of stuff ...) Kate has the most amazing gifts as a lyricist. Her work just transports me into another world - she is wonderful!

Currently listening to: Heaven - Psychedelic Furs.

Now that's a tune...

Did someone suggest somewhere that we got a little more light-hearted? Because I have just been skipping (with a rope I mean) along to Nelly Furtado in our living room! LOL! If I end up with a body like hers, it'll all have been worth it!

Oh my goodness those lyrics make tears well in my eyes...I've been in love with them forever even before I knew Kate sung them and I only heard them in that Utah Saint's song that sampled them.

Kate is a goddess incomparable to anyone else, physically gorgeous obviously and her voice gah it just sets tears off in me. She moves me. I've been listening to her music all day almost in fact.

I wish I could say that I still am...

Instead I am listening to "Informer" by Snow...nothing beats faux gansta rapping from a random Canadian guy really...LOL a step down and very funny contrast...
