For me it would have to be Japan or the scissor sisters.

I would love to have been one of the dudes in ABBA. They sat in the background, played their instruments and wrote great songs. They toured the world with their girlfriends (later, wives) who were up front, looking gorgeous, singing some of the finest songs in the history of pop music, and singing them *very* well.

It would later turn out that their lives were far more turbulent than they appeared, but at the time they looked like they were having a blast. What could be better than that?

It would have to be The Cure or I would love to be one of the women in ABBA. I also would like to have been one of the girls in the Human League -- I always thought it was so amazing how they were just out dancing one night and Phil Oakey "discovered" them, and the rest is history. (I do a mean karaoke "Don't You Want Me", BTW. :-)
