I'm Mike from the US.
I got into Japan/Sylvian back in probably 81/82. I was a Gary Numan fan and had never heard of Japan until Mick Karn and Rob Dean played on Numan's Dance LP. I was also a Bowie/Roxy Music fan, and got interested and went out and started looking for their stuff, and what I heard I really liked. And I have been hooked ever since. I've been buying Japan/Sylvian and related stuff over the years, I have maybe some interesting stuff from the 80's. Brillant Trees, Gone to Earth, and SOTBH are the sounds of the 1980's for me. But I've been listening to him pretty much regularly since back in 82, but have never really met another fan in person in all that time......
As a side note, I just did manage to get Snow Borne Sorrow this past Saturday, great stuff as always......
