Now way. I love both two albums.

It took me a while to get into Blemish.Actually, I didn't get it until I found myself in the same situation that David was when he wrote it. It brings me calm...it's like a catharsis. Before that I admired it because of the way he uses the sound. It's so expressionist and free.
It's a very difficult album to start with. I think it only works when there is some kind of empathy between the listener and the music. I can only listen to it when I'm in a specific mood, otherwise it devastates me.

Nine Horses album is brilliant and I love it since the first time I listened to it. Indeed, I think it's a very logical evolution in an emotional way. The collaboration of such great bunch of musicians makes it very eclectic, but very compact.

Richard Barbieri-Things Buried

Blasting Medication Time right now. Love that song, the louder the better! :-D

Eric, wasn't Heaven Taste more like a trarities compilation? Don't know for sure because I don't have that one.

Yes, it is the ambient stuff with JBK from that period

About 'Heaven Taste':
A compilation of No-Man's more ambient B-sides and rarities, mining a seam of pure beauty. Langorous landscapes and deep-blue dreams touching on Nick Drake, Talk Talk, Steve Reich and much more.

This is the 2002 reissue of 'Heaven Taste', remastered and repackaged with new cover art (and with a very slight extension to the fade on the title track).

1. long day fall (5.19)
2. babyship blue (4.53)
3. bleed (6.50)
4. road (3.16)
5. heaven taste (22.30)

Musicians:
Tim Bowness - vocals, words
Steven Wilson - instruments

with:

Richard Barbieri - keyboards & programming (5)
Ben Coleman - acoustic & electric violins (1,2,5)
Steve Jansen - drums & percussion programming (5)
Mick Karn - fretless bass & dida & saxophone (5)

I want Things Buried so so so so much...one day I will throw caution to the wind and buy it...some things are more important than food.

Oh and I am mostly listening to Floetry and D'angelo and the ever present Brilliant Trees by Le Sylvian.

There is a Floetry song called "Ms Stressed" that I love but it has the stupidest lyric in the world.

"My angel I'd stop breathing for you if my life was possible without air."

hmmmm and what a show of devotion that would be, huh, NOT!!

Where life clings to your hands
Like water and sand
Will loose it's way when you're gone"

yes Things Buried is a good album, but not eating to get it, well it isn't THAT indispensible I guess. I have an extra copy you can buy from me in monthly 1 GBP installments - and I'd ship after first payment :)

'Eastlake' by Damien Jurado.
Can't stop playing this song at the moment, it's so beautiful.
I'm not sure if it's on one of his albums so I just keep playing it from his 'myspace' website. This guy really knows how to make you feel sad!
Guided by hands that spread life before my very eyes.
