who can help me with my latest obsession?

Postby krausy on Thu Jun 21, 2007 11:32 pm

I have recently "re-discovered" the band Big Country, but I am finding information somewhat limited. I have found the UK website which is pretty cool but I am not sure how friendly that lot is there yet, and there seems to be a lot of guys over there(which is not a bad thing, just more than I usually encounter on a fan website). I imagine their fan base has more guys. I just wish I could find more facts and pictures, etc. I am aware of Stuart's passing away though, and that does have something to do with re-discovering them after all these years.

So, if anyone stumbles upon any good related sites, etc---let me know!!!

I'll have a look through all my old mags. I've also got this one that did not sell on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... ISUA:UK:31

I can colour photocopy the article for you, or if you'd like the magazine, I'll sell for face price and postage (which is less than the ebay one!)

Exactly!!! For 20+ years I have loved that song---everytime it came on the radio, etc the volume went up up up!!! But, also for 20+ years I never delved any further into their work really. I am making up for lost time though---I have a very tall stack of their cds now, so lots of homework for me. I find though that the more I listen to, the more painful it is to think that Stuart is gone  I really miss him and wish to God that I had paid more attention before---can't take it back now, but I can just do as I am doing---making up for lost time.

Steerpike---I will PM you about that magazine----I want that!!!!!
