Johnny Thunders - Do You Love Me

"You broke my heart, cuz I couldn't dance..."

Thunders epitomized RnR attitude.

Here's my take on Mark Hollis (call me silly if you will...)

Since Talk Talk's beginning Mark has been continually removing more and more from his music, expanding the silences and saying more with less. By the time he had advanced to his solo album he was close to "Approaching Silence".

So - the next step was just that: silence. You see, he's finished... mission accomplished

well john, i suppose your theory might be true. but it is nonetheless a painful silence.

Anesthetize - Porcupine Tree

Been playing the entire Fear of a Blank Planet actually, and after listening to it for several months, I have to say it's probably my least favorite album of theirs. Musically its strong, but I don't care for the lyrics - the whole concept thing is kind of boring for me.

I absolutely love this song! It cheers me up if I'm feeling down.

had a weak spot for them ever since they did the reworking of 'Are Friends Electric?' (Tubeway Army/Gary Numan of course) into the rousing 'Freak Like Me' - and Round Round was great too btw

Oh wow, I haven't listened to King Diamond in years! Abigail! My favorite album is Them. I like all the Mercyful Fate stuff too, especially Don't Break The Oath. I'm going to have to dig out my tapes and cds now and play them. :D

Hearts of Fortune -The Immaculate Fools

It's a shame that these guys didn't get more attention, their first few albums are stellar...
