Going anywhere this summer?

Thought i'd ask what everyone is doing holiday wise this summer.

I'm staying home during the latter half of July whilst my mum, dad and 2 sisters go to spain. My mum and dad are staying for 10 days and when they arrive back we're going on our own (far better) weekend break to Chatsworth.
My mum and i want to visit Chatsworth House where they filmed part of the Pride and Prejudice film (for those of you who've seen it, it's the house that Mr Darcy lived in). They have a beautiful classical sculpture gallery and artworks by Lucian Freud.

Then we're journeying to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare (mainly because i love his work). Going to see the house he lived in and the church where he and his wife are buried.



So i want to know (just because im that nosey) what everyone else is up to

Ohh Stratford is beautiful indeed! I loved it in there (another Shakespeare fan here, and a Branagh one too )

My plans are all around gigs, LOL! Tomorrow I'm leaving to Amsterdam to see Porcupine Tree (visiting Antwerp as well). Then back here and on Sunday I am leaving to Brussels to see PT in Lille and also spend some days in Belgium. Nothing more after September when I go to see David to London!

I have a trip planned to Atlanta, Georgia to see Crowded House at the Tabernacle. Was looking at going to the Nashville show as well but I may not be able to swing that one.......

Otherwise it looks like I am staying close to home this summer;besides, most of my vacation time has been spent already......

Vapor Trail's coming to visit me in Nashville in 3 days!!!

He's staying for 10 days... Then near the end of August I'm going to go up and see him!

So... If I am scarce again... Or non-existant for the next 2 weeks... You'll know why

Does Sept still count as Summer? Cos I'm spending most of my summer saving and planning for a most wonderful visit to my most dearest of dearest friends. Also cleaning a lot in hopes of a return visit. I have two weeks in August for some short trips with my daughter before she returns to school.

Hopefully inbetween there, finding my freedom, so to say.

I have nothing really special planned as I am saving up some money to hopefully visit Japan. Probably the usual of camping (I love the outdoors) and an amusement park - I love rides, scarier the better!!!!

sounds like everyone is going to be busy this summer .....mom is thinking about planing on a family vacation, during Labor Day weekend, to visit the Atlanta Aquarium
